LANEIGE WATER SLEEPING PACK (80ml) Review

Hey guys, so that's my post virginity gone! As you can see I'll be reviewing the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack_EX 80ml. This was a well raved product since a few years ago and I've only just decided to try it out now because I never really thought I needed something such as this, however the blue colour was an immediate eye catch (one of my favourite colours).

What is it?
Well, its kind of in the name really - pack is just another word for mask so you literally use this as a face mask, only you put it on right before you sleep and in the morning, you just wash it off. The initial aim for a sleeping mask is to nourish and hydrate your skin during your night's sleep. As you should know, our skin is most absorbent at night.

What does it do?
Laneige claims that this has a "Light gel-type texture which provides intensive hydration, vitality, and brightening effect while restoring skin with deep relaxation". Benefits claimed by Laneige:
  • Deeply hydrates fatigue and dry skin
  • Strengthened skin barrier
  • Brightens skin tone evenly by removing harmful oxygen and purifying skin
  • Removes dead skin cells
  • "Sleepscent" helps to relax your mind and body and derive for a good sleep
How to use?
After you've finished with your facial routine as you do every single day, apply a thin layer of this all over your face (of course put more on if you're skin is extremely dry) - Its literally that easy and obviously since its a sleeping mask you put it on in the evening. I would recommend people to apply this 20 minutes before you're about to go to sleep ^^
You can also use this for your neck as well and the same technique applies - put a layer of the product onto your neck and leave it on until the morning and then wash it all off. Laneige recommends to use this product once or twice a week but since its a face mask, I'd say you can use it up to three times a week if you wish :)

Actual review
First of all, the packaging is absolutely fabulous - the blue captivated me on the first look, because you know, its blue ^__^ As previously claimed, this product has a "heavenly" smell where in my opinion, though far from heavenly, it definitely does have a pleasant smell that surely keeps you sniffing.

The consistency of this is really light even though it looks like a thick cream, but trust me, once you spread it onto your face, it's in fact watery, but not to the point where it feels like you're splashing water on your face. If you're a person who has applied some kind of serum before, the consistency of this is similar to that.

When applying this on your face, your face will look extremely greasy and when it starts to dry, your face will feel like it's tightening a little, but this is all normal so don't worry. What's great about this is the fact that you can still smell the lovely smell of it on your face. Not only that, but the cooling effect you get on your face is very relaxing.

If you have sensitive skin, I'd recommend you to check out the ingredients beforehand, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem :)

Just as Laneige claims, this really does hydrate your skin and gives your face a radiant glow as well as even out your skin tone if used regularly. So if your face is looking a bit dull, go ahead and use this for a quick fix overnight. Literally, when you wake up and wash it off, you'll be able to see and feel the difference - your face will feel a lot smoother and look brighter ^__^

For those thinking that this product is a bit pricey, well trust me the benefits from this is worth the money. I mean, beauty is pain is it not? (Wow, the cheese right there >.<)

Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who either wants to give themselves a break and pamper themselves or anyone who just wants to incorporate a face mask into their skin care routine. Well, if you're trying to find a face mask that does the job, get this!
